Ernie Bower founded BGA as the first company to provide granular, exclusively Asia-focused strategic support for the world’s leading firms. Following the Asian Financial Crisis, many businesses were struggling to understand Asia as the world’s fastest growing market. To meet this need, Bower pioneered a people-first business led by strong local teams, with committed personnel, unmatched expertise and deep networks of trust empowered to achieve outcomes for countries, communities and clients.

BGA was initially primarily based in Southeast Asia but grew quickly to include other subregions including Northeast Asia, South Asia, the Pacific and Africa. BGA’s leadership team has since expanded the company’s operations and worked to ensure that it continues to do its best work in helping the world understand Asia’s increasingly complex landscape.
