Maria supports BGA clients in the energy, natural resources, commodities, mining/metals and health sectors. She evaluates the potential risks and impacts of government policies, provides stakeholder and issue analysis and crafts strategy and outreach plans to help clients advance their business interests while adhering to Indonesia’s dynamic regulatory obligations.

Prior to joining BGA, Maria was an implementation consultant at McKinsey & Company where she supported state-owned and multinational energy, mining and metals companies with strategy, operation transformation and project management. She assessed new downstream market entry feasibility, identified key performance levers to improve smelter operations, developed a marketing strategy with a metal joint venture and assisted a downstream-oil transformation project. Earlier, Maria worked as a petrophysicist at BP Indonesia, supporting gas fields development in West Papua. Her internal advocacy for improving access to quality education and gender equality led her to be selected as BP’s delegate for the One Young World forum in 2019.

Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, United States, where she was a Chevron Indonesia scholar.
