Dr. Gulshan Rai is an advisor for BowerGroupAsia in India.
Previously, Gulshan served as India’s first cybersecurity chief, a position to which he was appointed by the prime minister in 2015. Earlier, he was the director general of the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, an office in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology to deal with cyber security threats.
Prior to this, Gulshan served as executive director of ERNET India, the National Research and Education Network dedicated to support the needs of educational and research institutions in India.
He has more than 25 years experience in various areas of information technology, including cyber security and e-governance, and he also worked on the Information Technology Act for e-commerce.
Gulshan holds a M. Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi and has a Master of Science degree from the University of Delhi.
